Indie artist Lionder from Greece releases 2nd hip hop album “EGO”
Lionder, a young indie artist from Greece, released his 2nd independent electronic hip hop album in a special collaboration with Antibas, a young independent music producer from Greece as well, titled “EGO”. The album contains 8 tracks, 2 out of which are synthwave. The genre of the album is a mix of pop, rap, and electronic music.
Ego is a project that aims at discovering and unravelling our true self, the one that gets in front of the spotlight and is not afraid to shine. The Ego, like a monster that is born with you, can either be tamed and stay silent, or given power and let free to devour anything on its way. All of Ego’s sides appear in all areas of life. The Ego moves your hands, defines your thoughts, it becomes you. And before you realize it, your need to show off hides behind all good and bad. But is it you that needs to show off – or your Ego?
The lyrics are written by Lionder, and they go through every area of life in which our Ego prevails. When we take strength and chase after our dreams, when we face our enemies, but even when we fight for human rights, since the political perspective could not be absent from the artist’s work. Antibas on the other hand managed to embody in his music the notions and ideas that make us feel like titans, ready to go against anything or anyone that stands in our way, but also the ideas that come from a more esoteric standpoint, that reach the core of the Ego, especially in the prologue and epilogue tracks.

Lionder is a young pop artist who sings, writes, and makes music. He does pop, rap/hip hop, rock, jazz and greek music. He released his first independent album “Find My Truth” in 2019, in which he explored the ongoing changes in his life when he moved out of his family’s home, and this year he came back with a project that explores every façade of the Ego, our self-importance and the monster inside of us that is fed by the spotlight, which we either befriend or shy away from. In 2015 he wrote a song about peace for which he was invited in The 2night Show in Greece, and in 2016 he wrote a song about bullying that got the attention of several TV shows and outlets in Crete. He talked in the SBS Greek Australian Radio for his song “Today is the day”, a song about war, peace, climate change, racism, and human rights. His drive is to influence the world with his music into creating a safer space where we all belong and connect, and these are the most prevalent themes surrounding his art. Antibas is a music producer from Crete, Greece, who creates electronic, hip hop, trap, synthwave, dubstep music and more, and maintains a youtube channel that has almost 1 million views. When two indie artists come together, they can create true and unfiltered magic.
